Call for Workshop Proposals
Proposals for Workshops that examine emerging, innovative, or otherwise provocative issues within the conference area are encouraged. There is no restriction to particular topics of the conference. It is enough for the topics to be related to traditional topics of Artificial Intelligence such as Reasoning, Ambient Intelligence, Cognitive Modeling, MultiAgent Systems etc., and we especially welcome multidisciplinary topics with an emphasis to theoretical advances and innovative applications.
Workshop proposals should include a 1-2 page summary of the topic and the names and affiliations of 3-4 chairs and program committee members who have made a commitment to participate, where it should be stated clearly the primary contact person to whom correspondence should be directed. A mix of industry and academic panel members are recommended.
In the page summary the organizers should present clearly:
(i) the motivation of the workshop and its relatedness to the topics of SETN 2018,
(ii) the specific topics covered and possible application areas,
(iii) the reviewing process, and the expected number of participants,
(iv) if the same workshop has been organized before in SETN or related conferences and why its continuation is needed.
Proposers are encouraged to go beyond the usual list of presentations of accepted papers, for example by means of invited talks, panels, and demo sessions. Furthermore providing ideas for post-publication of the workshop proceedings to journal special issues will make the workshop proposal more attractive since it will interest more participants.
Please send your Workshop Proposals as a single PDF file to workshop chair Christos Makris (email@example.com).
